Arsenal Betting Guide: Games and Outrights

Would you like to bet on the Gunners, but never really understood how betting markets work? Now let’s have a look at the most relevant betting markets for you to have fun and maybe profit from your knowledge about footie and The Gunners.

Essentially, the betting markets are divided into match result bets, which is a more specific form of betting focused around a specific game, and long-term markets that are called outright markets.

The most popular betting markets of football (soccer) are those focused on the events of one single game, like a derby between Arsenal and Tottenham, for example.

The odds are calculated by the bookies and the markets according to several factors. In the past, this was related to the form of the teams more than anything else. These days, the punters try to anticipate what will happen based, for example, on injury news, which is highly related to factors like the health and fitness staff of the club.

As there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work these days to make sure a team is in top form, the preparation of a team involves things coming from the manager such as the tactics and formation, up to the best tricks of the fitness staff such as telling a player things to do for muscle soreness in order to heal and be ready for the next challenge.

The richer clubs usually have a bit more structure, but any club in the Premiership will count on some very good staff to make sure their valuable players are ready to face each match of the calendar, both the 38 games of the EPL and other fixtures such as domestic and international cup games.

The punters usually follow the team news as a very important factor, and the good work of all club members makes a difference at the end of the day.

Now let’s have a look at the basic betting market odds and how they work

Match Result Odds: 1X2 Market

The most popular betting market out there is the 1×2. In this system, the punters try to guess what team will win, or if there will be a match draw. The match draw is represented by the X, while the victory of the hosts is represented by ‘1’ and the visitors ‘2’.

Odds are multipliers, and the most popular system for them in the world is the decimal one, although in the UK the fractional odds are also quite popular.

So if the odds for the next big game of Arsenal are 2.0 for a victory of The Gunners, this means you can earn 100% profit. So if you bet £10, you could win £10, as the bookie would pay you 20 pounds, the ten from your stake returned plus the profit.

Outrights Betting Odds

The outright odds work in the very same way. However, the bookie will only pay you after the season ends. So, if you bet on who will win the Prem before the season, you’ll have to wait until the next year, after a team lifts the EPL trophy. Right now the odds for a triumph of Arsenal in the ongoing season are 1.70 on average.

Gabriel pokes fun at Aubameyang after Arsenal win against Chelsea

With a thrilling 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal reclaimed first place in the Premier League.

The victory across the capital and the fact that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a miserable reunion with his former employers were both made possible by Gabriel Magalhaes’ second-half goal, which also helped the Gunners move two points clear of nearest rivals Manchester City.

There has been a lot of discussion between the Chelsea and Arsenal camps since the final whistle against the Blues. Following the impressive victory of the north Londoner, here are some noteworthy headlines from Mirror Sport.

After the Gunners’ victory over Chelsea, Gabriel, who had just scored the game-winning goal for Arsenal, took a cheap shot at Aubameyang, a former teammate.

The Gabonese, who recently switched from Barcelona to the Blues, said in the lead-up to Sunday’s match that it was “not personal.”

Gabriel tweeted: “NOTHING PERSONAL.. ” after using that as justification to celebrate the Gunners’ victory. LONDON IS RED,” with an emoji of a red heart.

With their victory in West London seeing Arsenal reclaim top spot, Rio Ferdinand has suggested that the “togetherness” in the current squad could see the Gunners push on for the Premier League title.

Speaking after the win against Chelsea, the former Man United defender said: “I’ve seen something with this Arsenal team. Are this team the real deal? There’s something there, togetherness, you can smell it in this team. The way they celebrate.

“There’s an authority of how Arsenal are playing under this man Mikel Arteta. How many times did we look at each other when a phase of play happened and it was all because of the way that Arsenal were making them moves on the pitch.

Whilst both Gabriel and Ferdinand went down their own routes in responding to victory, Granit Xhaka’s thoughts forced broadcasters BT Sport to stage a live apology.

The Swiss let an x-rated statement slip during his post-match interview in front of the Arsenal faithful at Stamford Bridge.

He said: “You see the atmosphere, it’s f****ing unbelievable!”

Once he had been reminded to watch his language, Xhaka continued: “Yeah, you can see the atmosphere is unbelievable. I mean, from the start until the end, I think we deserved to win today.”

Arsenal missed out on transfer target this summer to another Premier League club

It has been revealed that Arsenal missed out on a player to Manchester United earlier this summer.

Edwin van der Sar is a name that is known to most in the football world due to his ability between the sticks; being an inspiration for many growing up when he was playing for their reason of wanting to play in goal.

He now finds himself in an important role at one of the clubs he was a star for, as he is the current Ajax CEO, and it seems he may have inadvertently helped out another of his former clubs at the expense of Arsenal, even if it was not directly linked.

According to the CEO, the Gunners had put in an offer for defender Lisandro Martinez long before Manchester United had, howeber it had been rejected.

Speaking to The Times, he revealed: “It was our opinion they (Lisandro Martinez and Antony) should stay for another year.

“We gave a firm ‘no’ to Arsenal when they came first for Lisandro; we fought hard to keep him.”

Indeed, the defender has been impressive at United since signing this summer, as he has helped to make them a little better at the back, which has led to many opting to use the available Bet365 bonus that is possible to acquire when placing their bets on the matches that involve the club.

But, have Arsenal really missed out? Or, are they doing as well as they could without him in north London?

Many had known what to expect from the Argentine when he arrived, as he had been a star for Ajax, although he did not come without his criticisms. For instance, many continued to pick on his height and say that his lack of height would be an incredible problem.

However, as mentioned, the Gunners actually appear to be doing rather well without him. The likes of Gabriel – who recently just signed a new long-term contract – and William Saliba are looking exceptional in the middle of the backline, while we have seen Arsenal continue to compete at the top of the league.

Of course, there is no doubt that he has been good, but Arsenal certainly appear to be fine without him. Some may still be wondering what could have been depending on how the Premier League season comes to an end, but there is no point looking back on something, especially when the two centre-backs at the club currently are performing as well as they are.

The FA continues to investigate the incident between Gabriel and Henderson

During Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, defender Gabriel Magalhaes was spotted exchanging words with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

After Gabriel Jesus won a critical penalties, which Bukayo Saka converted for the Gunners, the Brazilian got into a confrontation with Henderson.

Referee Michael Oliver brought the game to a halt as he hurried to the sidelines to speak with both Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp.

It’s believed to have related to a dispute that occurred in the penalty box during a tense encounter at the Emirates Stadium.

Witnesses stated that the confrontation had subsided by the time both sets of players arrived in the tunnel, but new video has emerged showing the pair continuing to exchange words after the initial incident.

According to The Mirror, the Football Association (FA) has engaged the services of specialist lip readers to analyse footage as they continue their inquiry, while players who were nearby during the intense brawl between both sides may also be asked what they saw and heard.

In a video shared on Tuesday to the Tasty Football YouTube account, both sets of players embrace quickly after the final whistle, with Henderson initially high-fiving England colleague Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel hugging fellow center-back Virgil van Dijk.

Gabriel and Henderson both fade out of view before reappearing briefly as the two shake hands, albeit for a brief moment.

Following the handshake, the Liverpool captain attempted to get the Brazilian defender’s attention, involving Roberto Firmino in the conversation to seemingly encourage Gabriel to talk to him, with Klopp also in the vicinity and talking to Gabriel.

The outcome of the FA’s investigation is still yet to be concluded, but both clubs have vowed to follow the FA’s disciplinary procedures on the matter.

The FA released a brief statement after the match, which read: “We are aware of an incident that took place during the match between Arsenal and Liverpool. We are in dialogue with the match officials and will review the details of the incident.”

How Arsenal just saved spending £30m in the January transfer window

Here is how the Gooners have saved themselves from spending money in the market!

Arsenal’s pursuit of a centre midfielder was widely publicised during the summer transfer window. Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans was one of Edu’s top objectives.

During the transfer window, it was reported that the Belgian was interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium and that he would be ready to wait out the final year of his Leicester deal before making a decision.

However, if a rival made an offer this summer, Arsenal would consider it.

Due to a lack of depth and quality in the midfield, the Gunners wanted to buy a midfielder, and it was rumoured that Tielemans would be available for £30 million.

However, a deal failed to materialise. According to Sky Sports, Mikel Arteta’s side ‘cooled’ their interest in the Belgian towards the end of the window.

So far this season, it has shown to be a gift in disguise, as not only has Tielemans failed significantly, but Charlie Patino is beginning to show why he is highly regarded at the club, and there is potential for him to salvage a midfield slot.

Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are two players that are now untouchable in the team. Albert Sambi Lokonga and Mohammed Elneny are the two reserve players, but their quality levels do not match that of the two starters.

Instead of wasting the dough in the January transfer window, Edu may be patient and wait for Patino to obtain the necessary experience before next season.

The 18-year-old demonstrated his immense talent during his senior debut against Sunderland last season, capping off an outstanding substitute cameo with his first senior goal.

This led to Arteta singing the praises for the youngster, saying: “He’s [Patino] a player that has a lot of personality. I’m delighted for him because he’s a kid that we like so much. To have his debut and score like that is something special.”

The promising teenager is now on loan at Blackpool for the remainder of the season, gaining important experience and getting acclimated to the physicality of first-team football, which will be crucial when he returns to the Gunners ahead of next season.

And the kid has had a good start with the Seasiders, which was highlighted by his debut goal against Millwall last weekend.

If the youngster continues on this path, it will demonstrate why Arteta was correct not to spend big money on Tielemans, and he might save £30 million by believing in Patino’s abilities.

What are Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League?

Arsenal Football Club, one of the Premier league’s top clubs, are one of the favorites to win the Premier League in the 2022/23 season. Having won 13 league titles in the past, the club impresses with exciting football, which has been their philosophy for years. They have garnered fans from all over the world who watch their matches and bet on them on secure and reliable sites, in which you can find asiabet8888.com, where fans in China have the opportunity to utilize the best sportsbooks.

Arsenal FC have hit the ground running in the 2022/23 season, winning 5 out of 6 matches, which have them placed at the top of the Premier League table. Fans of the club can only wonder if they can keep up that momentum and go all the way to winning the league, ending an 18-year drought. With that said, here are Arsenal’s chances of winning the premier league in the 2022/23 season.

It’s difficult to imagine a clearer contrast between Arsenal’s start to the 2022/23 season and their start to the season before. The Gunners lost their first three games of the previous campaign, with Mikel Arteta’s side needing four games to net a goal. Arsenal has 15 points out of a possible 18 after six games this season, and they are currently in a very intriguing position. Following an impressive transfer window that saw them sign two Manchester City players in Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira from FC Porto, William Saliba has returned from a loan spell with Marseille and other players, they had a successful pre-season campaign, winning all 3 matches. Spirits were high at the Emirates at the start of the season, with the same momentum taking them to the top of the table.

There is still a long way to go in the season and it would be exceedingly premature to discuss a title challenge, but there are indications that Arteta’s strategies are beginning to bear fruit. Arsenal has been proactively on and off the ball in their victories, showing evidence that he has created a team that can compete against the top teams in the league. After losing their first match of the season to the first top 6 side they have faced in Manchester United, the toughest tests are yet to come, and fans can only hope their beloved Arsenal can stand strong. Currently, according to statistics, Arsenal has a 6 percent chance of winning the title, which is considerably low compared to Manchester City’s 66 percent.

Conclusion

Currently, Arsenal are in the driving seat of the league and can see fierce competition from Manchester City from the rearview mirror. If they can maintain their form and beat top teams, they can go on to win the league.

Giroud predicts the top four for the Gunners

Olivier Giroud, a former Arsenal great, thinks that the Gunners will finally get a return to the Champions League this year. Giroud is presently signed to AC Milan, but he gained notoriety at the Emirates Stadium following a fruitful five-and-a-half-year stint. Before being pulled across the city by Chelsea in an unexpected transfer back in January 2018, the striker spent this time with the club, scoring 105 goals in 253 games. Giroud grew acclimated to Champions League football while living in north London

Giroud was still at Arsenal the last time the team qualified for Europe’s top tournament, but the club’s abilities have substantially diminished in the years following the 35-year-old’s departure. According to the Premier League odds at the online platform Sportwetten-vergleich.at. Arsenal has a 2.47% chance of making it in this year’s season.

The situation has improved under Mikel Arteta’s management, and last year, the Spaniard came agonisingly close to clinching a return to the Champions League. However, a collapse in the season’s last weeks gave Tottenham the opportunity, and they edged out their sworn enemies to finish in the top four.

Arsenal has had a fantastic start to the season this time around. Before last weekend’s 3-1 loss to Manchester United, the Gunners had won five straight games and were atop the Premier League rankings.

And Giroud is sure that Arsenal is now in a position to end their prolonged exile from the Champions League. He said to Sky Sports, “I’ve also been following my Gooners, and I think it’s going to be another fantastic year for them.” When asked directly if he thought Arsenal would finish in the top four this season, Giroud responded, “Yes, absolutely. I hope so.

His remarks came only a year after he claimed that Arsenal’s unwillingness to spend considerably on transfers would likely hurt their hopes of regaining their place among the best of Europe, even though they spent more than any other top-flight team last summer to revamp their roster. Giroud responded to the question of when Arsenal will again finish in the top four: “Wow, that’s a great question! I think Mikel Arteta has time to get back in the top four.

He continued by saying that money is a significant factor. The issue with Arsenal is that they might not put forth as much money as their competitors, which could then hamper their challenge for a place in the top four and ultimately, a place in the UEFA Champions League next season if they do not win the UEFA Europa League.

Arsenal face Swiss side in their first European game of the season

Zurich welcomes Arsenal to Letzigrund on Thursday, 8 September, in a Europa League match. Premier League giants Arsenal travel to Switzerland to take on FC Zurich. Looking to rebound from Arsenal’s loss at Man Utd on Sunday, Arsenal is expected to turn up the heat in their Europa League group A opener away at Zurich; At the same time, the Gunners will field a changing squad; they should still have far too much firepower for the opposition. We reckon that Arsenal’s second-tier side, too, would be too much for FC Zurich and will eventually succumb to 3 goals, not to mention scoring a goal and taking their total over 2.5 goals.

FC Zurich has scored only four times in 7 league games this term, and Arsenals will be confident in keeping them out of this one. Arsenal, however, is currently sitting atop the Premier League table and has been coming to the fore of this season’s table. With the power Mikel Arteta is likely to carry from the bench in the last 20-30 minutes, Arsenal should be able to take three points on the road to open the groups. Arsenal has never played a game against FC Zurich and will be cautious about upsets in an important match. Despite controlling much of the game and looking better, Arsenal dropped their first points of the season.

Still, Arsenal made the trip bragging about a 100% success rate in their previous matches against Swiss sides, six wins out of six, with forgotten man Lucas Perez scoring a hat-trick in the 4-1 victory against Basel in the 2016-17 Champions League. If Mikel Arteta leads the club to just its third continental crown while pushing the leading team in the Premier League to a place at the top, significant progress has been made. Mikel Arteta’s side returned to Europa League action after finishing fifth in England’s Premier League last season and are currently bookmaker’s favourites to make it all the way. Arsenal started their League campaign well, and although they fell to a first defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday, they sit comfortably at the top of the table after six games.

Marquinhos and Matt Smith will likely make their FC Zurich debuts, having been included in Arsenal’s senior European Championships squad. At the same time, if Nketiah takes over from Gabriel Jesus this week, it will be aimed at finding the back of the net for his third consecutive Europa League start. Fabio Vieira’s cameo over the weekend left Arsenal supporters giddy, and I’m sure it pleased Arteta as well. Starting at his favoured No. 10 position would provide him with the ideal opportunity to do what he does best: create.

Big test for the Gunners on Sunday

The Gunners are coming off their best start to a season since 2004, having won all five of their first five games. Despite United’s slow start, this is likely to be their toughest test yet.

A long list of injured players could make the task even more difficult. Martin Odegaard had to leave the game against Aston Villa on Wednesday night due to an ankle injury, and Aaron Ramsdale was also injured.

This adds to Arsenal’s injury list, which already includes Oleksandr Zinchenko, Thomas Partey, and Mohamed Elneny.

The lack of depth in the squad is something the Gunners sought to address on transfer deadline day as they made a late more for Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz.

However, after having three bids rejected, Edu was ultimately unable to secure a deal for the Brazilian, meaning that Arsenal go into this particularly condensed World Cup season with perhaps less strength in depth than they would have liked.

While the end to their summer window was somewhat underwhelming, the confidence flowing through Mikel Arteta’s side right now is unlike anything we’ve seen in years at the Emirates.

The Spaniard’s project is well underway and a statement victory on Sunday would certainly send a message out to the rest of the division.

United’s upturn in form coincided with Raphael Varane and Tyrell Malacia’s respective introductions into the XI and both will continue in defence on Sunday.

Varane has established a stout partnership with summer arrival Lisandro Martinez.

Ten Hag should have new acquisition Antony available to him for the first time, but the Brazilian will likely be named among the substitutes with Casemiro poised to make his maiden start for the Red Devils.

Prediction

I believe this is where Arsenal’s perfect start could come to an end.

The Gunners have been excellent in their first five games, and while United haven’t been particularly impressive despite their recent upturn in form, Old Trafford remains a difficult place to visit and win.

Mikel Arteta may also be hampered by several major injuries, and while Lokonga stepped up against Villa in the week, Sunday’s game will be a much more difficult proposition.

Both managers want their teams to dominate the ball and control the opposition without it, so it should be an interesting tactical battle.

A chess match is in store, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the spoils shared on Sunday.

That’d be a pretty good result for the Gunners considering their injury crisis.

Arteta states the young Portuguese is fit and ready to roll

Mikel Arteta has confirmed that summer signing Fabio Vieira is fit and ready for Arsenal’s debut ahead of their Saturday trip to Bournemouth in the Premier League. Summer signing Fabio Vieira failed to return from his foot injury in time to feature in Arsenal’s opening two games of the 2022-23 campaign but is now expected to be fit and ready. Mikel Arteta loves how summer signing Fabio Vieira is capable of operating in a broad role behind the forwards. He is looking forward to working with him more and finding out where best he fits into the team. Arsenal will keep summer signing Marquinhos here for a few more months and make sure he settles in at the club and with the side. As he has proved impressive during the pre-season and in his two under-21s caps, Mikel Arteta is going to allow the full-back the opportunity to settle into the Arsenal squad, then evaluate things later.

The club’s PS 72m signing of Nicolas Pepe has been linked with a move to the likes of Nice, but Mikel Arteta has kept his mouth shut about the winger’s future and those of the rest of the squad that is struggling for game-time. Nicolas Pepe made just five Premier League starts last season under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, and expectations are he will be gone this summer. Arteta revealed no new injury concerns for him before the clash with Bournemouth. Mikel Arteta has not ruled out Nicolas Pepe leaving Arsenal this summer, having scored only 27 goals in 112 Premier League games with the club. A report claimed Nicolas Pepe has emerged as a shrewd target for French side Nice but that they want only a loan move.

Arteta has also commented on Saka’s contract, as he believes in the player’s relationship with the club and his family members. It is now just a matter of time before he signs the contract extension. Arteta also added that he wants this to be completed on an urgent basis as he doesn’t want the players to be distracted during the campaign.

Arsenal has started the 2022-23 campaign very strongly as they grabbed two out of two victories and are in the second place only because the English Champions Mancheter City had kept clean sheets in both their games and scored more goals. However, it is too early to predict the table situation as this season is very different from others. The season will be paused in between so that the players can go and participate in the FIFA World Cup that will take place in Qatar later this year. So we can expect the unexpected from this campaign.

Arsenal handed a boost in their pursuit of Youri Tielemans

Arsenal’s pursuit of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has been aided as the Foxes seek a replacement for the Belgium international.

Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar has been identified as a potential target for Brendan Rodgers’ side this summer.

The Frenchman has previously been linked with Arsenal, but it is believed that manager Mikel Arteta has shifted his focus to Tielamans.

The Leicester midfielder’s contract at the King Power Stadium expires in less than a year. While the Foxes want to avoid losing the 25-year-old for free next summer, they are sticking to their £30 million asking price.

The former Monaco star has made 120 Premier League appearances for Rodgers’ side and has secured a starting spot in Belgian coach Roberto Martinez’s squad ahead of the World Cup.

The Gunners have signed Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Fabio Vieria during the summer transfer window. Both of the latter can fit into the Gunners’ engine room, but Arteta is still keen on bringing Tielemans to north London.

The Belgian’s path to the Emirates has been paved after Foot Mercato reported that Leicester are interested in signing Aouar.

The Lyon playmaker also has a year left on his contract at the Groupama Stadium and has piqued the interest of a number of European clubs, including Leicester City and Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest.

The Frenchman scored 10 goals in 35 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon last season, as Peter Bosz’s team finished eighth and missed out on European football.

Rodgers’ side have yet to sign a player this summer, but they are hoping that a move for Aouar will kickstart their transfer window.

Odegaard: ‘I have to do it my way’

Newly appointed captain Martin Odegaard believes Arsenal will use last season’s disappointment of finishing outside the top four to our advantage in 2022/23, returning ‘hungry and ready.’

Odegaard also discussed his pride in taking the captain’s armband full-time, how the new signings are settling in, the challenge posed by Palace in the opener, and how he tried to persuade his compatriot Erling Haaland to join him at the Emirates.

When asked if he feels any pressure on taking on the captaincy role at Arsenal, he said:

“I don’t feel any special pressure with it. Obviously there’s a little bit more responsibility, but I think I will do a lot of the same things. I always try to do my best for the team. I’m not going to change too much just because it’s a permanent thing now.

“I will do the same things and obviously when he wants me to be the captain I’ve done something right so keep going in that direction, maybe learn and grow a bit with time. But I have to do it my way and that’s what I will try to do. I enjoy the responsibility and hopefully, I can do it in a good way.”

Arsenal end their Preseason on a high note

Newcomer Gabriel Jesus scored his fourth preseason goal as Arsenal comfortably beat Chelsea 4-0 in a friendly in Florida on Saturday. Jesus scored his fourth preseason goal but was later injured when Arsenal defeated Chelsea. Jesus led his preseason tally for Arsenal to four as a grand final ended with a win for Arsenal. The Gunners continued their impressive preseason with a convincing victory over London rival Chelsea at Saturday’s Orlando’s Camping World Stadium. Arsenal ended their tour of the Americas with a win over Premier League’s Rival in front of a record 63,811 fans at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium just two weeks before the start of the new season.

Arsenal takes on Sevilla in the last preseason match at the end of a marketing campaign that has given fans hope. London rivals Chelsea brought the lineup back to the usual 3-4-3 to start the second half, and things looked better at the start but failed to score as the Blues’ clean-sheet problems of recent seasons continue to plague the Blues. Arsenal beat Chelsea at the first whistle with their aggressive and direct play, with centre-forward Gabriel Jesus setting the tone, scoring the first goal after Chelsea were knocked over in their half. Arsenal won a handful of their fixtures in the United States, thanks to goals from Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Albert Sambi Lokonga at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium.

A cheerful Gabriel Jesus moved calmly forward to Edouard Mendy, showing a composure rarely seen at Manchester City. He softly hit the chip to give Arsenal the lead and score four goals in four preseason games. Arsenal jumped ahead from an empty corner of Chelsea, with Gabriel Martinelli playing in Saka, who lacked the legs. Gabriel Martinelli split the Chelsea defence with a perfectly weighted ball, and Martin Odegaard made a touch before missing.

Mikel Arteta, meanwhile, has seen Arsenal win all four of their preseason games, although he hopes Gabriel Jesus is ready to live to stream them on Sky’s first game of the season against Crystal Palace. The bench just before the hour mark needed to be replaced. Gabriel Jesus appeared to be Mikel Artetas’ ingenious attempt against Premier League rivals Chelsea, the prolific No.9 he has been shouting about, highlighting value at Emirates Stadium again. Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel expressed worry over his team’s progress and his individuals’ lack of dedication throughout their preseason tour of the United States after they were defeated 4-0 by Arsenal in Florida on Saturday.

Arsenal missed out on their ultimate goal this season by missing Champions League qualification by two points to London rival Tottenham Hotspur. Despite failing to qualify for the top four, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will continue to be backed in the transfer market this offseason. There are several names that have been drawn up as possible signings.

Arteta could address squad needs by signing players from his former team Manchester City. The Arsenal manager has a few players set to depart the Emirates and those replacements will be vital to improving the team.

The Premier League season’s start is just around the corner and Arsenal supporters are debating whether or not the Gunners can finish in the top four. Bettors can read the latest Nigerian sports betting apps reviews before signing up and wagering on the upcoming campaign.

Gabriel Jesus

In April, it seemed like Jesus to Arsenal was nearly finalised. Yet, in recent weeks, the deal may not be as close as originally believed. Arteta wants Jesus to replace Alexandre Lacazette. The manager loves Jesus’s versatility. The forward was out of favour for parts of the season at Manchester City, but became a key player in the Cityzens’ final push for the Premier League title.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Guardiola is likely to add a new full-back at Manchester City, which would make left-back Zinchenko surplus to requirements. Zinchenko is heavily linked with Arsenal at the moment. It seems a strange signing with Kieran Tierney at the Emirates. However, it is claimed Arsenal are ready to axe the £24 million signing this offseason.

Levi Colwill

Arteta has adapted the tactic of his mentor Guardiola and that is to sign a defender in every summer transfer window. Levi Colwill could move to the Emirates this season, but Leicester City are also chasing the defender. Colwill spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Championship club Huddersfield helping them finish third in the table and qualify for the playoffs. The defender played 29 games, scoring two goals and adding one assist. He is owned by Chelsea, who are likely to sell Colwill this summer.

Tammy Abraham

If there were any doubters to striker Tammy Abraham’s ability to score goals, they should be quieted now. Abraham left Chelsea last offseason for £36 million for Serie A’s Roma. The striker hit the ground running under Jose Mourinho and went on to score 27 goals in 53 games in all competitions. Abraham won the Europa Conference League with the Giallorossi and scored nine goals in the competition. Abraham’s final Serie A goal tally was 17 in 37 appearances. He scored more goals in a single Serie A season than any other English player.

Youri Tielemans

From unwanted midfielder at Monaco to in-demand central maestro at Leicester City, it has been quite a journey for Youri Tielemans. Just one season remains on Tielemans’ current Leicester City contract and the player has already stated he wants to leave the club. Arsenal are interested in the midfielder, but could miss out on signing Tielemans due to a lack of Champions League football.

Edu appears to make promise to transfer target

A lot of the news that surrounds Arsenal at the moment will be regarding the striking department.

It could be argued that the Gunners missed out on the UEFA Champions League spot that had looked destined to be theirs because of a lack of a clinical finisher and a player who could make a real difference in the final third.

Eddie Nketiah certainly took on some of the responsibility himself as he managed to hit five goals in the final seven Premier League games of the season, but Alexandre Lacazette struggled and does not appear to be coming back to the Emirates Stadium. The English forward appears to be signing a new contract and committing his future, on the other hand.

Naturally, should the Frenchman leave, there will be an even greater need for the club to find a new striker and it seems that they are trying to do everything that they can to bring in one of their main targets and a multiple Premier League winner.

Whilst we have all been having fun at arabic-casinos.net and playing our favourite games, it seems Edu has been making certain promises to encourage a compatriot of his to join him in north London this summer.

According to exclusive quotes from Michael Bridge that have been shared with GiveMeSport, the transfer reporter has revealed that Arsenal’s technical director has told Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus that he will be the club’s new No. 9 if he were to join them.

He said: “Gabriel Jesus has been told by Edu that he will be Arsenal’s number nine.

“I’d imagine City will entertain the likes of Tottenham being involved in a bit of a bidding war and Tottenham have that carrot of Champions League football over Arsenal.

“But, Arsenal would stress that Jesus would be a central part, whereas you can’t convince anyone of that (at Tottenham) when you’ve got Harry Kane.”

Of course, there has been a lot of speculation regarding Jesus’ future, especially with the South American entering the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium. It is thought he would only be available to leave for around £51.5 million, though.

Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be interested and that could be a concern given the Champions League football aspect, but as Bridge suggests, Jesus would find it easier to get guaranteed minutes at the Gunners as he would have to try and dislodge either Harry Kane or even Son Heung-min from the Spurs team.

There is no doubt that Jesus would be considered an excellent signing for the club, but will the Gunners be able to get their man?
