Arsenal gain advantage in signing Suso from AC Milan

According to reports from Football Italia, Arsenal have the edge over signing AC Milan forward Suso.

The report also suggests the arrival of Monchi to Emirates Stadium as the new sporting director would favour the North London side to pursue the winger.

The former AS Roma director tried to sign Suso during his spell at the Italian club.

Player stats

Being a youth product of Liverpool, Suso broke into the senior squad in 2012.

The 25-year-old hardly found his playing time for around three years at Anfield with just 21 appearances.

Later, the winger joined Milan in 2015 and went on to make more than 100 appearances.

He also had his interim loan spells at Almeira and Genoa.

Suso can be deployed as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and has the ability to play on either side of the flanks.

The left-footed Spaniard is highly known for his vision and passing accuracy.

Why Should Arsenal sign?

The Spaniard is cited as the possible replacement for Mesut Ozil whose future remains tentative at the club.

Suso holds the exact profile as the German number 10  and he definitely would embrace the playing style of Gunners.

The Spaniard is also under the radar of Chelsea and their North London rivals Tottenham.

The Gunners couldn’t make the most of the transfer window owing to financial difficulties.

However, if they were able to retain a spot in the top 4, Unai Emery can maximize his chances in the upcoming transfer window.

The Gunners are currently fourth in the Premier League table trailing Spurs by a point.
