Arsenal manager Unai Emery claims that the club could sign up two players before the closure of the Transfer window this Thursday.
The Spanish was reported to have made a preference for possible loan deals this January for a player who he thinks can imorove his team.
Right after a loan bid was rebuffed by the Serie A club Inter Milan for their star winger, Ivan Perisic tabled a transfer request to the club. And also Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez is also heavily linked with North London club.
Emery, who is keen on not dripping players name, said via Sky Sports: “This transfer [window] is not easy and the message is the club is working on different players and the possibility if it can be is good for us.
“We are looking at two different players and the possibility they can come. If they aren’t coming to help us like we want, I prefer they don’t come.”
In spite of his defensive duo Sokratis Papastathopoulous and Laurent Koscielny being sidelined due to injury claims, the North London boss is not willing to sign a defender this month.
Speaking ahead of the Premier League game on Tuesday against Cardiff City, Emery said: “We have enough players, centre-backs in the squad. Only we’re having a lot of injuries and a lot in this position.”
“If we can bring another player and when all the players want to play, we can have a lot of trouble in the future.”
Arsenal was formerly reported to have agreed deal for both players earlier this week but a deal by the club is yet to be striked.
