Fulham have confirmed on their official website that they have completed the signing of Calum Chambers from Arsenal on a season-long loan deal on Tuesday evening.
Chambers, who stands at 6ft0″, will be joining the newly promoted Premier League club to further bolster Slavisa Jokanovic’s defensive ranks at Craven Cottage.
Chambers, who have been handed the Fulham Shirt No. 5, could see more playing opportunities at right-back than playing in the centre of the defence as a result, but his versatility in that regard will be a key asset as the club looks to consolidate a place in the top-flight.
However, Chambers’ move to Fulham leaves the Gunners a little exposed in terms of options at defence as things stand, though the North London club are reportedly in the market for further reinforcements in that regards.
Chambers started ten league games for the North London outfit last season, ending up on the winning side in just four of said matches.
Chambers was only able to register ten Premier League appearances for Arsenal under Arsene Wenger last season, of which Arsenal only won four out of his appearances.
Elsewhere, the Gunners are believed to be lining up deadline day move for Croatian and Beşiktaş’s centre-back Domagoj Vida as a replacement before the window gets shut by 11pm on Thursday.
