Report on Monday afternoon has claimed Arsenal’s Chuba Akpom will arrive Greece in a bid to undergo medical ahead of a permanent to PAOK.
The midfielder joined the Gunners when he was only six but after since bursting into the scene, the Nigerian has failed to establish himself as a regular starter.
Majority of his time at the club was spent with Arsenal senior team on several loan spells including spending some time with likes of Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, Hull City, Brighton and Sint-Truiden. Akpon was only able to register 12 appearances for Arsenal and he’s on the verge of completing a permanent move with PAOK.
Report from Greek outlet gazzetta.gr claimed Akpom will sign a three year deal with PAOK but this is whether he passed the compulsory medical he will go through with the club. Should everything go as planned, an announcement on Akpom’s deal should be make before end of Tuesday.
Akpom’s transfer to the Greek club as per reports, is claimed to be around €1m (£900k) while Arsenal have also included a sell on clause in the deal which will have an €8 million release clause.
