Official ! – Arsenal To Agree [£22m] Mega Deal Before World Cup Begins

According to reports, Arsenal are interested in signing midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini from AS Roma this summer which already appears to be a done deal.

Pellegrini, 20, is reportedly tied with the Serie A club until summer of 2021, but he has a cheap £22 million release clause which Arsenal are looking to exploit.

Reports from the London Evening Standard has claimed that the North London club have gone cool on signing Jean Michael Seri from Nice and believe the former represents better value for money.

The 20-year-old is a product of Roma's youth academy, and he has made his senior debut for the Serie A club in 2015 as a second-half substitute in a 1-0 league win over Cesena.

He joined Sassuolo for a reported £1.1 million in June same year, and although the deal included a buy-back clause of around £9 million fee. Ever since, he went on to score 11 goals in 54 appearances for the Serie A club, before agreeing a move back to Roma in June 2017.

He has registered a total 37 appearances for Roma across all competition, whilst netting three goals along the line.

Pellegrini has been capped six times by Italy and played against England in a friendly earlier this year.

Liverpool have also been linked with Pellegrini in the past, but they appear to have switched their attention to other targets.
