As reported by TeamTalk, Arsenal are poised to table a former £50m offer for RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsbeg after reports claim the Gunners have held talks with his agent about a possible move to the Emirates stadium.

Gunners new head-coach Unai Emery and the club's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat are ready with the club summer transfer business and a new wide-man is believed to be on cards.

Forsberg, standing at 1.79 m (5 ft 10 1⁄2 in), has once been linked with a move to Arsenal since he left Malmo to join the Bundesliga giants in January 2015 and our interest in the player has strengthened following an impressive two-and-a-half years in Germany.

It appears the club's is set to pursue the signature of player as the aforementioned source citing report from Expressen claims that the club will submit a £50m offer to Leipzig in the coming days.

The Swedish publication says Leipzig are reluctant to lose one of their key men and are hoping to tie Forsberg down to a new long-term contract despite the fact he penned fresh terms just over a year ago.

However, a serious offer from Arsenal could be tempting for the Bundesliga outfit and the Swedish international hinted he may be on the move this summer after tweeting ‘thanks for everything’ after being sent off in his final game of last season.
