Arsenal Prepare £25 Million Offer For Cech Replacement

Arsenal are reportedly preparing an opening offer of £25 million for a potential Petr Cech replacement, according to The Sun.

It's going to be a busy summer for Arsenal. Aside from any potential managerial change, there are a number of positions in the club which will need upgrading or a replacement.

Centre-back, central midfield and wide midfield should all be replaced in the transfer window but Arsenal are perhaps most in need of a replacement between the sticks.

Neither David Ospina nor ageing (35-year-old) Petr Cech has helped the club in the last few years and Arsenal need to upgrade.

Just a few weeks ago, Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno was reported a target for Arsenal and now, reports suggest that the North London club are keen on the player.

It is claimed that the goalkeeper has the seal of approval from new head of scouting, Sven Mislintat and that the Gunners are preparing an opening bid of £25 million bid.

Bernd Leno is a fine player and would be a solid acquisition for the Gunners, especially at that price. The Gunners are in desperate need of a new goalkeeper and despite his relatively young age, Leno is one of the best stoppers in the Bundesliga today.
