"From Spain with Love" - Arsenal linked with £96m-rated Aubameyang ex-teammate

Arsenal are somewhat hilariously linked with Barcelona forward France international, Ousmane Dembélé.

The youngster left Dortmund, where he played with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, last summer and joined Barcelona for a reported £96m.

Since joining the La Liga giants, the 20-year-old has only registered two La Liga appearances and spent most of his first half-a-season nursing a terrible ruptured thigh muscle, according to Transfermkt Web.

The inclusion of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool last month and Antoine Griezmann's expected move from Atletico Madrid means the Frenchman would be deemed surplus requirement even more for regular game time next season.

According to Spanish news source Don Balon, the Spanish outlet revealed Barca are willing to allow the France international leave in the summer after just one season at the club.

Arsene Wenger allegedly sees the young forward as the 'new version of Thierry Henry', which we're pretty sure every outlet says about every young, frenc forward nowadays.

Marca reports that Barca would be willing to allow Dembélé to join Arsenal for just €60m – or £53.3m. That’s a £40m drop in price after just one season, which seems more than a little suspect.

Aubameyang is supposedly keen for his former Dortmund teammate to join him at Arsenal. Unfortunately for him, this story stinks.
