Malcom A Gunner ? - Reliable Journalist Breaks Latest Update 18-goals hitman (Official Tweet)

Arsenal according to a reliable journalist are in talks to sign Bordeaux striker Malcom this transfer window and discussions are going positive.

Brazilian reported Bruno Andrade, who works for Goal.com, made the claim via his official Twitter account regarding the future of the 20-year-old after hearing that talks ‘conversations are progressing well.’

The journalist tweet translates: "I posted last week that Arsenal came into the fray for former Corinthian Malcolm. Today I hear that the conversations are progressing well."

The striker who, has also been linked with a move to join Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, has made 18 appearances in Ligue 1 and has an impressive goal tally, having netted seven goals. He has a total of 18 goals for Bordeaux since his move from Corinthians in 2015.

With Arsenal No. 7 Alexis Sanchez being linked with a move way from the club with Manchester City seemingly his likely destination, Malcom could be a direct replacement for the Chile international.

This potential deal all lies on any transfer of either Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez going through. It has been proved severally that Arsene Wenger rarely builds upon the quality he has already acquired, preferring to sell his best players before bringing in new signings.

If the Frenchman decides to bit the bullet and sell one or both, then replacements will be needed and Malcom certainly fits the bill for the Frenchman. At just 5ft 6in, the player is a diminutive figure, but strong and nippy and offers a similar style of play that Sanchez gives Arsenal.
