Fans blast Petr Cech for his tweet during Arsenal's 4-2 loss against Nottingham Forest

Fans were angry as Petr Cech decided to tweet during Arsenal's 4-2 loss in the FA Cup at Nottingham Forest. Arsene Wenger had never lost in the the third round of the competition, but Forest's victory saw the title holders crash out of the competition at the City Ground.

David Ospina who played between the sticks showed an unconvincing performance for Arsenal and Cech was forced to watch the match from home. However, instead of inspecting his team-mates' shocking performance at Forest, the Czech goalkeeper bizarrely close to tweet just moments after Ben Brereton’s goal to make it 3-1 in the second-half.

‘You’re welcome ! Great tournament , well done to you !’ Cech replied to a previous tweet thanking him for at an appearance at a youth team tournament.

Arsenal fans, unsurprisingly, tore into the shot-stopper for the timing of his tweet and he was forced to explain himself. ‘I’m watching,’ Cech insisted when asked why he wasn’t keeping an eye on the game.
