Deal Close & Medicals Underway: Arsenal close to signing $34m-rated to partner Mustafi and Koscielny

Arsenal currently 6th in the Premier League and the club have already conceded 28 goals in 22 Premier League games this season.

If the club want to finish in the top four, they mus reinforce their back line this month and reports suggest Arsenal are close to signing an experienced defender.

According to an exclusive report covered by The Sun, the Gunners are close to agreeing a 25 million pounds ($34million) deal with the Baggies to secure the services of the former Manchester United star Jonny Evans.

Evans won three Premier League titles with the Red Devils under the management of Alex Ferguson and then Louis van Gaal opted to sell him to West Brom.

The Albions currently have 16 points from 22 Premier League fixtures and they are in 19th position. Therefore, parting with their star defender would be a massive blow for the club.

As per the Sun, even Manchester City have been reported to be interested in Evans but now, it is Arsenal, who are leading the race to sign the Norther Irish center half.

Evans would be a perfect to addition to our squad and an ideal partnership with Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny in the heart of defence but the questions remains if he is good enough for Arsenal to pay $34million for his services. Let us know your thoughts below.
