Confirmed: Henrikh Mkhitaryan to play against Chelsea on Wednesdya night

Jack Wilshere has just confirmed via his Facebook post he's looking forward to playing next to Arsenal new boy Henrikh Mkhitaryan against Chelsea on Wednesday night at the Emirates Stadium in the 2nd leg clash of the Football League Cup clash.

Arsenal 1st leg clash of the Football League Cup with the Blues at the Stamford Bridge ended 0-0 as both side failed to find the net in an exhilarating encounter.

Both sides would be looking to find the back of the net when they meet tomorrow at the Emirates.

Arsenal have lost just once in their last seven meetings with Chelsea but manager Arsene Wenger does not feel that necessarily means his side have found a way to play against the Blues.

Wenger said:

"I'm always cautious of saying that."

"The two teams are very close to each other every time they meet and the form of the day can be a decider.

"The strength of the motivation on the day can be a decider as well.

"It has always been very tight, they are two good teams who know each other well now so it's very unpredictable."

Chelsea, however, are now unbeaten since 9 December but the Blues manager Antonio Conte is expecting a tough test against the North London club.

The Italian gaffer said:

"When you play against Arsenal, you must be prepared to suffer without the ball."

"They like to be offensive and bring many players in the box to find combinations between strikers-midfielders-wingers.

"We must pay attention and be compact."
