Mesut Ozil has been lined up as possible replacement to Man United's Henrikh Mkhitaryan

According to Man United news, Mesut Ozil has been lined up as possible replacement to Manchester United playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan who has been relegated out from Jose Mourinho's squad lately.

Mkhitaryan has been deemed surplus to requirement at Old Trafford and it will not come as any surprise to see Armenian international leave the club in the winter transfer window.

However, report according to the Telegraph recently claimed that Mourinho is prepared to wait for the next summer to sign Ozil.

The rest of the report read as follows:

However, according to an update provided by Spanish outlet Don Balon, the World Cup winning playmaker could leave the North London club in the upcoming winter transfer window.

The Spanish outlet have mentioned that Mourinho is waiting for his former player with open arms and he is willing to offer the former Real Madrid player between €20m-€25m to secure the signing in January.

Presently, Manchester Evening News reveals that Mesut Ozil earns around €175,000-a-week at the Emirates and he could get a decent pay rise by joining the Old Trafford club. This season, in 12 Premier League appearances, Ozil has netted 2 goals and provided 5 assists for Arsenal Wenger's side.

Ozil is a very bright talent and was superb for Arsenal when we beat the Gunners 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday. He will be an ideal upgrade to Mkhitaryan whose future at Old Trafford looks bleak.
