Done Deal: Arsenal to hand Everton and West Ham United's £90,000-a-week target new deal


Arsene Wenger has reported been given the green light to hand England international Jack Wilshere a new long-term deal, according to The Sun.

The 5ft8" midfielder's current deal runs until the end of the season and Wenger had been wary of handling him a new contract due to doubts over Wilshere's injury history.

During his loan time with AFC Bournemouth, Wilshere failed to have the desired effect, many felt that the England midfielder's time at the Emirates was drawing to a close.

However, he has remained injury free for the first half of the season and played a key role in our smooth progression to the next round of the Europa League competition.

He is also said free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs as early as next week and Wenger is keen to extend his stay at the Emirates.

According to reports, West Ham United, Everton, and Newcastle United have all shown interest in Wilshere, while Serie A giants AC Milan are also said to be pondering whether or not to sign him.

Wilshere, whose current deal with the club is fetching him £90,000-a-week is in line to start for Arsenal against Crystal Palace tonight, with Arsenal looking to win for just the second time in their last six Premier League fixtures.
