Confirmed: Arsenal in very 'advanced' talks to sign €48m winger

According to reports emanating from Mexico outlet Super Deportivo, Arsenal and Everton have made matching bids of €48m (£42.5m) for PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano.

The Mexican news tabloid reports their sources have confirmed that both offers are very much alike, and that talks of a possible transfer are in the "very advanced" stages. It is not known however which could will sign the 22-year-old.

Lazano signed from Pachuca for €24m last summer Super Deportivo reports (although Transfermkt puts the figure at €8m), making him the most expensive player in Mexican football history, and Lozano has more than paid back his transfer fee already, having netted 11 goals in just 15 matches for the Mexican side.

At this moment in time, it is not known whether Lazono's move will come in January or at the end of this season, but it seems that there is genuine interest from the North London club.

He was first linked with a move to Arsenal stadium back in early October when a €25m fee was suggested, but if the report from Super Deportive bears fruit, his value has almost doubled in the last couple of months. Whether there is any truth to the story, we will have to wait and see until the end of the transfer window which is some weeks away....
