Arsenal set to beat AC Milan and Juventus to the signing of €30m rated Serie A superstar

Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of signing Jakub Jankto from Serie A side Udinese ahead of interest from AC Milan and Juventus.

The 21-year-old is one of the most exciting talents in world football and according to a recent report from British source The Sun, the star is very close to completing his move to the Emirates.

The reports states that he has a release clause in his contract for just £6m which looks to be a bargain that Arsene Wenger and Arsenal can afford. However, despite this little release clause, it could cost just a little bit more to hijack the wonderkid away from Italy. A report from Italian outlet Calcio Mercato last week suggested that Jankto current club, Udinese value him at around €30m.

A different from the same Italian outlet this as cited on our Arsenal blog, claimed that Arsenal are likely to beat AC Milan and Juventus to the signing of the midfielder with Juve unwilling to invest in the star and Milan also reluctant to complete a deal.

He is from the Czech Republic and has already been capped for his country first-team having risen through the ranks of the youth teams at international level and having already scored a goal for the Czech first-team.

Jankto has already scored two goals this season in the Italian league despite often being deployed as a deep-lying defensive midfielder.

With the recent news that Arsenal's playmaker Santi Cazorla is no closer to return to the squad, it seems that new signings within the heart of the Gunners midfield could be needed and the Czech football midfielder could fulfill that duty.
