$400,000-a-week Deal On Cards - World Cup Winning Star Ready To Secure Move

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil for quite some time and the latest reports regarding the German's transfer are in favour of the Red Devils.

The Daily Mail few days back claimed that the Gunners will make one last move to convince the Germany World Cup star to agree new deal with club.

According to the latest update provided by Daily Mail, Ozil has reportedly told his friends that he wants to sign for the Europa League holders next summer instead of joining Barcelona and is eyeing a huge pay rise that would see him earning around £300,000-a-week ($400,000-a-week).

Ozil who joined Arsenal in a £42.4m deal - five-year deal -, broke the club record by £27.4m. He will be out of contract next summer and the club will surely not want to lose him on a free transfer. Last month, the Daily Star revealed that Arsenal would be looking at 30 million pounds ($40million) if they are to part ways with Ozil in the winter window.

Ozil has not been in brilliant form for Arsenal this season and across 13 games in all competitions, Ozil has only scored two goals and provided 5 assists.

It is thought that Man United are considering moving for Ozil as to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan who has not been plan of Jose Mourinho first-team plans for the club and Ozil could be the man to replace the former Borussia Dortmund star.

Ozil and Mourinho won the La Liga title with Real Madrid in 2012 and as per the provided Daily Mail link, the Germany international would be open to working with his former boss again.
