Ray Parlour suggests why Crystal Palace won’t sell £35 million to Arsenal in January

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour suggested on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show via talkSPORT on Monday morning that Crystal Palace will not sell their star player Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer window.

According to The Sun, Arsenal and their North London rival Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Ivory Coast international.

The British tabloid has claimed that the Arsene Wenger's are preparing a £35 million bid for the forward.

Parlour, though, does not think that Palace will sell the 25-year-old former Manchester United winger in the January transfer window, even for £40m.

Parlour said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (08:37am, November 13, 2017): “Certainly I can’t see Crystal Palace letting someone like Zaha go, especially in the position they are in.”

“Even if they put £40m on the table, I don’t think Crystal Palace will sell him, maybe at the end of the season if they secure their Premier League status,” added Parlour.

Zaha is arguably the Eagles' best and most talented player, and although £35m is a lot of money, Palace are unlikely to let him leave in the January transfer window.

Crystal Palace are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and currently occupying the last position on the epl table, and if they lose Zaha in the middle of the season, then they are going to go down to the Championship for sure.
